3、ts of building constructions, elements, connec-tions, and assemblies. A comprehensive report describing theconditions under which the structural data were recorded willenable other workers to reproduce the test methods and, asnearly as possible, the results for each material or assembly,and to recon

4、cile differences that might be found in tests byothers.1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility

6、a and results of structural tests used for buildingconstructions, elements, corrections, and assemblies. It enu-merates and discusses the report sections required to reportdata from test methods and practices. The written reports willdescribe the products tested, method of testing, and results.5. Or

7、ganization of Report5.1 Generally, a report shall contain the following parts inthe sequence listed:5.1.1 Title page with byline,5.1.2 Object statement,5.1.3 Descriptions of specimen(s) and apparatus,5.1.4 Procedure statement,5.1.5 Discussion of test results,5.1.6 Conclusion,5.1.7 Recommendations,5.

8、1.8 References,5.1.9 Pictures,5.1.10 Tabulations,5.1.11 Calculations, and5.1.12 Supplementary data.5.2 Use the headings listed that are appropriate. Use othermore appropriate headings if they better describe the content.5.3 When the expected readership includes both experts andlaymen, an early inser

9、tion in nontechnical language of thenecessary background, data summary, and results is useful.6. Documented Information6.1 A report shall include the following information, but notnecessarily in the order listed:6.1.1 TitleA title shall be brief but definitive.6.1.2 AuthorOne first name and surname

10、and any profes-sional registration shall be included in a byline for positiveidentification.6.1.3 Date of test and date of report.6.1.4 Test agency, sponsor, and their mailing addresses.6.1.5 Specimen Selection and IdentificationIndicate thenumber of specimens, method of choosing them, and whetherth

11、ey were specially fabricated for this test, prototypes ofplanned production, randomly selected production units, and soforth. If specimens were obtained from routine production,include the manufacturers name, source of supply, specimendimensions, model, type, materials, and other pertinent infor-mat

12、ion such as quality, conditioning, and treatment, includingdata on assembly techniques and fastenings.6.1.6 Specimen DrawingsDrawings shall provide a de-scription of the physical characteristics and dimensioned sec-tion profiles and any other pertinent construction details. Thisrequirement may be wa

13、ived if an existing description is easilyavailable and is included by reference. Any unusual characteristics or conditions existing in thespecimen construction prior to test shall be described.6.1.7 Specimen DesignDetails shall be provided for anunderstanding of the principles used in the structural design ofthe specimen.6.1.8 Apparatus DescriptionSufficient detail

17、s shall beprovided to explain the construction, operation, and position ofthe test apparatus. This description may require a presentationof the structural design of the apparatus, especially if it isoriginal in design or operation. This requirement may bewaived if an existing description is easily a

18、vailable and isincluded by reference.6.1.9 Specimen InstallationIllustrations and a descriptionof details of installation in or attachment to the test apparatusshall be provided for each type of specimen. Details of restraintdevices and their location relative to the specimen shall bedescribed as we

19、ll as the locations of loading and reactionpoints.6.1.10 InstrumentationA report shall describe the loca-tion, direction of measurement, and technical specifications ofany instrumentation used to measure loads, reactions, anddeformations generated by the test apparatus and the specimen.A description

20、 of the working condition, tolerances, and accu-racy of such meters is useful. The relative deformation mea-sured by each gage shall be described.6.1.11 Ambient ConditionsRecords of temperature, rela-tive humidity, moisture content, seasoning, and any otherconditions that are relevant to structural

21、performance of thespecimen shall be included. A history of such conditions fromthe time of construction until the time of test may be moresignificant than those present at the time of test, and therefore,if warranted, measurements of ambient conditions and thecondition of the specimen from the time

22、of specimen construc-tion shall be made.6.1.12 Specimen WeightA report shall state the amount ofdead load of the apparatus or specimen that has been deductedif the net load or strength is reported or that may be deductedif the gross load or strength is reported.6.1.13 Load-Deformation GraphsGraphs p

23、ortraying thespecimens response to loading shall be included for eachdeformation-measuring device.6.1.14 Failure Load and DescriptionSpecimens can havemore than one failure mode, for example, ductile or brittlefracture, yielding, excessive deflection, or harmful distortion.Applicable modes of failur

24、e shall be described in general termswith criteria for their measurement. A description of eachspecimens failure mode and a value of its ultimate strength ormaximum load or both shall be tabulated.6.1.15 Time Under LoadA load-time record is needed tointerpret some test results and shall be presented

25、 as a graph ortabulation to indicate the time duration for each magnitude ofload.6.1.16 PhotographsPhotographs of the specimen beforeand after testing shall be provided to show what cannot bedescribed easily or clearly by writing. However, if the mode offailure is well known, the photographs are opt

26、ional.6.1.17 Video (optional)Avideo may be used as a standardpractice for reporting data from structural tests of buildingconstructions, elements, connections, and assemblies. Thevideo may be used in conjunction with a written test report.Generally, a video should contain the following parts:6.1.17.

27、1 Object statement (title and author),6.1.17.2 Specimen design and selection,6.1.17.3 Apparatus description,6.1.17.4 Specimen installation,6.1.17.5 Instrumentation,6.1.17.6 Ambient conditions,6.1.17.7 Specimen weight (dead and live),6.1.17.8 Testing,6.1.17.9 Failure load and description,6.1.17.10 Ti

28、me under load,6.1.17.11 Conformity of specimen,6.1.17.12 Officials (technicians, professionals, and observ-ers), and6.1.17.13 Appendixes.6.1.18 Use the headings listed that are appropriate. Useother more appropriate headings may be used, if they betterdescribe the contents.7. Conformity7.1 A report

29、shall contain a statement indicating whether ornot the construction of the test specimen represents actual orintended construction. If the construction does not representtypical manufacture, deviations shall be noted.7.2 When a standard test method is used, a statement shallbe included indicating it

30、s name and designation. Deviationsfrom it shall be described.8. Officials8.1 Signatures of persons responsible for the supervision ofa test shall be included as well as a list of any official observers.9. Appendixes9.1 All data not specifically required by a testing standardbut useful to a better un

31、derstanding of the test results, conclu-sions, or recommendations should be appended to a report.10.
