Mater

18、ial and Manufacture5.1 MaterialThe tile shall be composed of binder, filler, and pigments compounded with suitable lubricants and pro-cessing aids. The binder consists of one or more polymers orcopolymers of vinyl chloride, other modifying resins, plasticizers, and stabilizers which comprise at least

19、the follow-ing minimum percent weight: see Table 1. The polymers orcopolymers of vinyl chloride comprise at least 60 % of theweight of the binder. Any copolymer of vinyl chloride usedshall contain at least 85 % vinyl chloride.5.2 Class, Type, and Pattern NumberThe class, type, andpattern number, as

20、applicable shall be as specified in thecontract or order (see 4.1).NOTE 1The patterns that are available are indicated in individualmanufacturers current catalogs.5.3 Monolithic Vinyl TileThe tile shall be uniform, withrespect to color, pattern effect, and composition, throughout thethickness of the

The composition of each layer shall be according toTable 1.5.4.1 The appearance of the surface decorated tile, when thewearing layer is removed by any suitable means

22、, to a depth of0.010 in. (0.25 mm) shall compare favorably for decorationwith the tiles original appearance.5.5 Printed Film Vinyl TileThe structure of printed solidvinyl tiles is formed of vinyl wear layer which may betransparent or translucent. The pattern and colors are created bya print between

23、the wear layer and the intermediate coloredlayer or base layer. Other base layers may be added. Productswill comply with Table 1 for binder content.5.5.1 For commercial applications, the wear layer shall be aminimum of 0.020 in. (0.50 mm) thick.6. Physical Requirements6.1 Binder ContentThe binder co

28、imum residual indentation ofany single specimen shall not exceed 10 %.6.6 FlexibilityWhen tested in accordance with TestMethod F137 and a mandrel size of 1in. (25.4 mm), the tileshall show no cracks or breaks.6.7 Dimensional StabilityWhen tested in accordance withTest Method F2199, the tile shall no

29、t change in linear dimen-sions more than 0.020 in. (0.5 mm) per linear ft.6.8 Resistance to ChemicalsThe chemical resistance ofsolid vinyl tile shall be determined in accordance with TestMethod F925. The tile shall have no more than a slight changein surface dulling, surface attack, or staining when
