Performance Requirements6.1 GeneralAll performance tests shall be conducted onassemblies of fittings (cold-expansion fittings andcompression-sleeves) and PEX pipe. Fittings shall meet thematerial and d
30、imensional requirements of this specification.PEX pipe shall meet the requirements of Specifications F876and F877. Assembly of test specimens shall be in accordancewith 9.3. Each assembly shall contain at least two joints. Useseparate sets of assemblies for each performance test require-ment.6.2 Fit
31、tings shall comply with the following performancerequirements of Specification F877. 35、ght-hand, conforming to ASME B1.20.1, and shall be taperedthreads (NPT).7.1.4 Straight Threaded-EndsFitting threads shall beright-hand, conforming toASME B1.20.1, and shall be straightmechanical threads (NPSM).7.1.5 Inside DiameterThe minimum inside diameter,listed as Dimension F in Fig. 1, applies

When fitting has ends that are of differentsizes or configurations (for example, threaded, solder), or both,the minimum ID applies to entire insert area.8. Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance8.1 The fittings shall be made from materials that arehomogene
37、ous throughout. All sealing surfaces shall be smoothand free of foreign material. The walls of cold-expansionfittings and compression-sleeves shall be free of cracks, holes,blisters, voids, foreign inclusions, or other defects that arevisible to the unaided eye and that affect wall integrity.8.2 Fla
