Materials and Manufacture5.1 Unless otherwise s
10、pecified the gage boards shall bemanufactured from 11-gage (manufacturers standard gage)carbon steel for Grade a and 3 mm (18 in.) thick aluminumalloy for Grade b. Materials shall be capable of being bent atroom temperature through 90 in any direction to an insideradius equal to its thickness withou
11、t cracking on the outside ofthe bent portion.5.1.1 Unless otherwise specified, Type I gage boards shallbe drilled for mounting both 89-mm (312-in.) and 114-mm(412-in.) dial size gages and Type II gage boards shall bedrilled for mounting both 152-mm (6-in.) and 216-mm (812-in.) dial size gages. Workmanship, Finish and Appearance7.1 The gage boards shall have a workmanlike finish free ofscale, burrs, cracks, and other defects affecting serviceability orappearance.7.2 If paint is not specified by the purchaser, Grade a gag
