This standard specifies ITU-T Recommendation G.991.2, Single-Pair High-Speed Digital Subscriber Line (SHDSL) Transceivers as a normative reference and identifies the requirements in ITU-T G.991.2 that are d

24、ifferent in the United States. ANSI guidelines specify two categories of requirements: mandatory and recommendation. The mandatory requirements are designated by the word shall and recommendations by the word should. Where both a mandatory requirement and a recommendation are specified for the same

25、criterion, the recommendation represents a goal currently identifiable as having distinct compatibility or performance advantages. Suggestions for improvement of this standard are welcome.
