Thespecifiedtoleranceslistedabovedefinetheatmosphereimmediatelysurroundingthetestpiece.Therefore,the atmospheresurroundingthetestpieceshallbemaintainedatameantemperatureof22 Candameanrelative humidityof60%. 3.2 Testatmosphere Thetestatmosphereshallbethesameastheconditioningatmospherebutwiderto
25、lerancesarepermissibleas follows: temperature (22 2) C; relativehumidity(60 5)%. Theatmosphericpressureshallbemeasuredandincludedinthetestreportifitisoutsidetherange86kPato 106kPa. 4 Conditioning 4.1 Durationofconditioning Incurrentpractice,conditioningfor48husingaforcedairflowisgenerallyfoundtobesu
26、fficientforloose cigarettes.Thisconditioningtimecanbeinsufficientforcertainsamplesortestpieces,forexample,forpacketed cigarettesinbulkandwhenloosecigarettesareconditionedwithoutforcedairflow.Therefore,inallcases,it shouldbeverifiedthatequilibriumhasbeenproperlyattained(see4.2). Itisrecommendedthatth
27、eatmosphericrelativehumiditynearthesamplesortestpiecesbeverifiedbytheuseofa hygrometercalibratedwithtraceablestandards(fordetailsseeISO4677-15). Theairflowshouldbesufficienttoconditionloosecigarettesinthespecifiedperiod,butitshouldbenotedthat excessiveairflowmayresultinimproperconditioning. If,foran
28、yreason,testsamplesaretobekeptforlongerthan10daysbeforeconditioning,storethemintheoriginal packagingorinairtightcontainersjustlargeenoughtocontainthesample.Ifsamplesaretobekeptforlongerthan 3months,itisrecommendedthattheyarefrozenandstoredat,orbelow,16 Cuntilneeded.
