30、the test specimen in EN ISO 6940.4 CleansingThe sample shall be submitted to the cleansing procedure given on the care label. If no cleansing procedure is prescribed, the material shall be submitted to one cycle of one of the following standard cleansing procedures as appropriate to the fabric: wash
31、 procedure, in accordance with method 6A (40 3) C of EN 26330 and dried in accordance with method C of EN 26330; dry cleaning procedure in accordance with ISO 3175.If the fabric is not intended to be cleansed, the test method shall be carried out on sample and specimens as received.NOTE This cleansi
32、ng is not intended as a durability test for flame retardant treatment but only to remove non durable finishes or contamination and to obtain fabric surfaces and structure characteristics which are representative of those typically obtained in fabrics during actual use.5 Test specimensThe test specim
33、ens shall be cut from the sample as described in clause 3.The specimens shall consist of one or more layers of materials, according to the construction of the curtain.Unless otherwise specified, the specimen shall not contain features of construction such as seams, pleats, etc. Nevertheless the test
34、 specimens shall contain pattern or design features when they are a specific part of the fabric such as Jacquard construction.6 ConditioningCondition the test specimen for at least 24 h in the standard atmosphere of (20 2) C and (65 5) % relative humidity.7 Test procedureThe ignitability shall be me
35、asured according to EN ISO 6940 using commercial gas. To determine the initial flame application time, the preliminary test shall be carried out starting the first application time at 1 s and increasing it from 1 s in 1 s intervals up to 5 s, applied again for the 10 s mark, 15 s mark and 20 s mark.
36、Propane gas is recommended but butane gas may be used. If butane gas is used it shall be stated in the test report.8 Test reportThe test report shall include the following information:a) reference to this European Standard;b) identification of the fabrics tested;c) the cleansing procedure if used or
37、 a statement that the material is not intended to be cleansed;d) date of test;e) ambient conditions of temperature and relative humidity in the area in which the test is carried out;f) size of specimen used;g) whether or not the fabrics ignite in 20 s;h) a tabulation, for each direction in the case
38、of edge ignition or each surface and direction in case of surface ignition, of the number of cases of ignition and non ignition observed at each timer setting used during the test;i) mean ignition time for each direction or, in the case of surface ignition, for each direction and surface of the fabr
