17、oftesttobeappliedtoevaluatethesnowload resistanceperformancesofshuttersinclinedlessthan60fromthehorizontal,thoseresistant eitheraloneorinmechanicalassociationwiththeglazing. Twoformsofresistancetosnowloadareenvisaged. a)Theshutterresistsalonethesnowpressurewithoutcontactwiththeglazing, Thepressureisappliedgraduallyto p N andthecorrespondingdisplacementinthecenterofthe curtainme

24、asured. b)Theshutterresiststhesnowpressuretogetherwiththemechanicalassociationwiththe glazing.Page5 EN12833:2001 Theshutteristestedinassociationwitharigidpanel,paralleltothecurtain,representingthe glazing,sufficientlyrigidtowithstandthetestpressureswithoutsustainingdamagethatcould interferewiththere

Under p N ,thecurtainshallbeincontactwiththispanel. 4.2 Sampledimensions Thechosendimensionsarelinkedtothetypeofresistanceenvisaged: a)Theshutteraloneresiststhesnowloadwithoutcontactwiththeglazing Toberepresentativeofarangeofsizes,thesamplesubmittedshallbethemaximumwidth L 1 relativetothemaxi

26、mumheight H 1 possibleforthiswidth. Productslesswideandnogreaterinsurfaceareathanthesurfaceareaofthesampletested S 1 = L 1 x H 1 willbeassumedtoresistthesamesnowload, p (SeeFigure1) b)Theshutterresiststhesnowloadtogetherwiththemechanicalassociationoftheglazing. Toberepresentativeofarangeofsizes,thes

27、amplesubmittedshallbetheminimumwidth L 2, relativetoaheight H 2 possibleforthiswidth, ensuringthecontactbetweenthecurtainandtheglazingforthemaximumdistance d proposed. 29、resiststhesnowloadwithoutcontactwiththeglazing Theshutterismountedonarigidframeandequippedwiththeoperatingmechanismandis installedusingthefixingsaccordingtomanufacturerinstruction. b)theshutterresiststhesnowloadtogetherwithmechanicalassociationoftheglazing Samemountingas a),theframebeingequippedwith

30、therigidpanelrepresentingtheglazing. Thispanelisplacedatadistance1,2dfromthecurtain,dbeingthemaximumdistance betweentheshutterandglazingstatedbythemanufacturer. 4.3.2 Carryingoutoftheloading Thecurtainisloadeduniformly: eitherinahorizontalpositioningsothattheeffectoftheloadingproducesauniform pressu

31、re.Inthecaseofuseofindividualloads,nineloadspermminimumshallbe distributedevenlyoverthecurtain; orinaverticalpositioningforthetestusingairpressureofapneumatictype.If necessary,theloadingisachievedwiththehelpofathinpolyesterfilmorsimilarmaterial whichwillnotaddtotheresistanceoftheshutter.Thetestappar

32、atusisthatdescribedin EN1932forwindtestforshutters(accuracy 5%of p N ). Iftheshutterresiststogetherwiththeglazing,therigidpanelrepresentingtheglazingshallbe perforated(5cminholesperm)nottoputunderpressurethespacebetweentheshutterand theglazing. 4.3.3 Testloads Fortheparticularapplicablesnowpressure
