20、 determining the residual indentation produced in a resilient orlaminate floor covering after the application and removal of a constant load. 2 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.2.1 residual indentation difference between the initial t
21、hickness and the thickness measured after removal of the load 2.2 thickness distance between two parallel plates where the floor covering is inserted under a specific load 3 Principle A test piece is subjected to a static loading, the thickness being measured before loading and after a recoveryperio
22、d. 4 Apparatus 4.1 Straight, steel cylindrical indenter, of diameter 11,30 mm 0,05 mm, with the edge of the flat baseslightly rounded. Area of the indenter: 100 mm2. 4.2 Rigid, horizontal platform, of a minimum diameter 35 mm.4.3 Device, by means of which a preliminary force of 3,00 N 0,03 N and a t
23、otal force of 500 N 0,5 N(pressure 5 MPa) can be smoothly applied. The frame shall not deform by more than 0,05 mm measured inthe direction of the axis under the maximum force. This deformation shall be taken into consideration whenmeasuring indentation. (See Figure 1.)4.4 Comparator, formeasuring t

28、perature of (23 2) C and a relative humidity of (50 5) % for a minimum of24 h. Maintain these conditions when carrying out the test. 6 Sampling and selection of specimen Take a representative sample from the available material. Take three test pieces each with dimensions of atleast 60 mm 60 mm cut f
29、rom a roll or different tiles or planks. 7 Test procedure 7.1 Mark the place of measurement and measure the initial thickness of the test piece, t 0 , at its centreto0,01 mm, using the appropriate massspecified in 4.5. 7.2 Place the test piece on the platform. Place the annular weight (4.7) and the
30、indenter (4.1) on the testpiece. 7.3 Within 5s, applythe preliminary force specified in 4.3 and adjust the comparator tozero, taking into consideration the deformation of the frame. Gently apply the total force specified in 4.3 and start the stopwatch within 2 s.7.4 Record the depth of indentation a
31、fter 150 min to 0,01 mm and remove the force and the test piece fromthe platform. This measurement is not required in the calculation of the results, but is required in a number of productspecifications. 7.5 After a further 150 min, measure the final thickness of the test piece, t 1 , at the marked
32、position, usingthe appropriate apparatus in 4.5.7.6 Repeat the test on the remaining test pieces. Calculate the mean value from the measurements takenand express the result to nearest 0,01 mm. 8 Calculation of resultsCalculate the residual indentation, t 0 t 1 , for each specimen. t 0 is the initial
33、 thickness, in millimetres,mm. t 1 is the final thickness, in millimetres, mm.9 Precision statementAn interlaboratory testwill be conducted to determine the precision of this method. 35、tion of the product tested, including type, source, colour and manufacturers referencenumbers;c) previous history of the sample; d) the mean value for residual indentation; e) the mean value for the depth of indentation after 150 min; f) anydeviation from this part of ISO 24343, which mayhave affect
