6、cification complies with AICMA Recommendation Ni-C103-HT with the exception of the tensile elongation requirement. 1 Inspection and testing procedure This British Standard shall be used in conjunction with the relevant sections of the latest issue of BSHC100 as follows: 2 Chemical composition The re
7、-melting stock and the castings shall contain: 3 Condition Castings shall be supplied in the fully heat treated condition unless otherwise agreed between the purchaser and the founder, in which case the condition required shall be stated on the drawing or order. 4 Heat treatment 4.1 Solution treatme
8、nt. Heat uniformly at a temperature between1080 C and1100 C for8h and cool in air to room temperature. 4.2 Precipitation treatment. Heat at a temperature of750 10 C for16h and cool in air to room temperature. 5 Mechanical properties 5.1 Unless otherwise stated on the order the room temperature tensi
9、le properties obtained from test pieces representing re-melting stock and castings, selected, prepared and tested in accordance with the relevant requirements of BSHC 100, shall be: 5.2 If the order requires a hardness determination to be carried out, it shall be not less than270HB, 280 HV or 28 HRC
10、. 6 Rectification of defects 6.1 Correction of distortion. When permitted in accordance with BS HC 100, distortion shall be corrected after solution treatment and castings shall subsequently be precipitation treated. 6.2 Repair of castings by welding. When repair by welding is permitted in accordanc
11、e with BS HC 100, this shall be carried out after solution treatment and castings shall subsequently be precipitation treated.
