Circuit diagrams are an aid to facilitate the understanding of the design and description of installations so that, by unified representations of them, confusion and error can be avoided during planning, manufacturing, installation and maintenance. The rules of ISO 1219-1 apply, unless othe
32、r rules are defined in this part of ISO 1219. In daily routine, the application of ISO 1219-2 is slightly modified regarding symbols of connectable components and their arrangement. 37、 of ISO 1219 supplements ISO 1219-1 and ISO 1219-2 by specifying rules for the generation and combination of symbols of connectable components in circuit diagrams. Using these symbols, the design envelope and piping can be reduced. These rules define the generation of symbols and their combination t
38、o represent modular built functional units, such as manifold assemblies or stacked valve assemblies or air preparation units (FRL units). The rules not only help in generating circuit diagrams but also aid and raise understanding of these diagrams by grouping and displaying symbols of connected comp
39、onents. Examples for the application of these rules are included in this part of ISO 1219. NOTE 1 In addition to terms in English and French, two of the three official ISO languages, this part of ISO 1219 gives the equivalent terms in German; these are published under the responsibility of the membe
40、r body for Germany (DIN). However, only the terms and definitions given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms and definitions. NOTE 2 Exemplary application of the rules described in this part of ISO 1219 can be found in the Annexes. Table 1 gives an overview of which rule is appli
