2、munications Committee” (ERC). “The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations, considering 1. that development work is being finalized by EUREKA 147, 2. that the intention is to introduce T-DAB in CEPT member countries from 1995, 3. that the band 87.5-108 MHz is currently e
3、xtensively used or FM broadcasting, 4. that an interim frequency band will be necessary for the introduction of T-DAB, 5. that there are different channel plans and different services in the VHF bands in CEPT member countries, 6. that the tuning range of the receiver should be kept to a minimum to r
4、educe equipment costs, 7. that a long period of simulcasting will be necessary until T-DAB receivers achieve sufficient market penetration, O recommends 1. that according to national use and requirements, all or parts of the frequency bands 47-68, 174-222, 222-230 and 230-240 MHz may be used on an i
5、nterim basis for the introduction of T-DAB in CEPT member countries, 2. that the band 87.5-108 MHz will be the future home for T-DAB, 3. that the band 104-108 MHz may also be used on an interim basis for T-DAB subject to coordination with existing services within the same and in adjacent bands, but
6、such an introduction must not prejudice the future replanning of the frequency band 87.5-108 MHz for T-DAB in the CEPT member countries, 4. that the tuning range of the receivers shall cover the frequency bands mentioned in Recommends 1 and 2, 5. that due account should be taken of existing services
7、 in the above bands when introducing T-DAB, 6. that sharing and coordination criteria detailed in Annex 1 * be applied, 7. that a meeting to plan for the introduction of T-DAB in CEPT member countries into the bands mentioned in Recom- mends 1 be arranged in earlv 1994.” * Annex 1 will be developed and should become available at the end of 1993.
