NOTE 1 When designing tension springs from sectional steel, it shall be noted that non-standardized sections cannot always be supplied. In many cases, the square section can

NOTE 2 If tension springs made of sectional steels cannot be avoided in special cases, e.g. for installation reasons, it is necessary to consult the spring manufacturer. The form can then be completed according to corresponding agreements about design and per

15、ation Designation of a form for information on cold formed tension springs: Form DIN 2099 B 4 Application rules It will not always be necessary to complete the whole scheme provided in the form. Primarily the information required for the specific application of the springs is sufficient. Dimensional
16、 values not required for processing can be placed in brackets. No tolerances are given for dimensions in brackets, e.g. the spring rate R. The form is generally applicable for all cold formed tension springs with open loops or hooks as illustrated in Figures 1 to 9 and Figure 14 of DIN 2097:1973-05.
17、 For cold formed tension springs without open loops or hooks, as shown in Figures 10 to 13 of DIN 2097:1973-05, for example, or for other special types, an additional drawing shall be supplied with the form. In this case, the associated drawing shall be mentioned in Box 12 of the form. If it is nece

Tension springs are usually manufactured with “interior” pretensioning. The magnitude of this depends on the quality of the wire, the diameter and the winding r

In order to facilitate efficient production, the maximum possible tolerances according to DIN 2097 shall always be included with the data on inner or outer coil diameter Di or De, nominal free length of the spring L0, and spring forces F0to Fn.
