7、d pasty test media; b) in Clause 5 “Testing” a method for applying a pasty test medium has been added; c) the description of the test media is more precise; d) resistance groups 1 E and 1 F have been deleted; e) table salt and sodium carbonate are no longer included as test media; f) the requirement
8、 to be met by the test medium ethanol for resistance group 1 B has been reduced from “5” to “4”; g) the informative Annex A on the comparison of assessments in accordance with DIN 68861:1981-12 with those in accordance with DIN EN 12720:1997-10 has been deleted. 9、DIN 68861-1: 1978-06, 1981-12, 2001-04 DIN 68861-1:2011-01 4 1 Scope This standard contains information for assessing resistance to chemicals which is not included in DIN EN 12720 and applies to all rigid surfaces of surface-finished furniture regardless of material, but does not apply to leather an
10、d textile surfaces. This standard also specifies testing with specific pasty and solid test media to which furniture is commonly exposed in everyday life. Where required, the use of additional test media can be agreed upon by the parties to the contract. This standard provides a uniform method of de
11、scribing the resistance of furniture to chemicals which can be used in product standards or as additional information when labelling goods. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. If the test medium is a chemical, its purity shall be at least equivalent to recognized analytical grade (“p.a.”). Where not otherwise stated, percentages are percentages by mass (
24、mass fraction). Deionized or distilled water having a pH value of 7,0 0,5 shall be used for aqueous solutions. Test media shall be stored in a closed container in a dark place and shall be conditioned at (23 2) C before use.DIN 68861-1:2011-01 7 5 Testing Tests with liquid test media shall be carrie
25、d out in accordance with DIN EN 12720. Pasty test media shall be spread without pressure and using a suitable means, e.g. cotton swab onto an area the size of a disc of soft filter paper (diameter (25 2) mm). The assessment of results for pasty and solid test media shall be as described in DIN EN 12
26、720. Solid test media shall be laid on an area the size of a disc of soft filter paper as in DIN EN 12720 (diameter (25 2) mm). 6 Designation A furniture surface whose resistance to chemicals has been classified into a resistance group in accordance with this standard may be designated with “DIN 688
27、61-1” and the letter signifying the relevant resistance group. EXAMPLE Designation of a furniture surface of resistance group 1 B: Resistance to chemicals DIN 68861-1 1 B 7 Test report The test report shall include at least the following information: a) reference to this standard; b) description of test pieces (substrate material, surface finish); c) results of testing resistance to chemicals (value for each test period/test media), classification; d) any deviations from this standard; e) date of test.
