7、ry Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standard, EN ISO 7096:2000, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Dire
8、ctive”, Directive 98/37/EC (valid until 28 December 2009), and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate pr
9、oof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive
10、(“presumption of conformity“). The seat constitutes thelast stage o
30、f suspension before the driver. To be efficient at attenuating the vibration, the suspension seat shouldbe chosen according to the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle. The design of the seat and its suspension are acompromise between the requirements of reducing the effect of vibration and shock
31、on the operator and providinghim with stable support so that he can control the machine effectively.Thus, seat vibration attenuation is a compromise of a number of factors and the selection of seat vibrationparameters needs to be taken in context with the other requirements for the seat.The performa
32、nce criteria provided in this International Standard have been set in accordance with what isattainable using what is at present the best design practice. They do not necessarily ensure the completeprotection of the operator against the effects of vibration and shock. They may be revised in the ligh
33、t of futuredevelopments and improvements in suspension design.The test inputs included in this International Standard are based on a very large number of measurements taken insitu on earth-moving machinery used under severe but typical operating conditions. The test methods are based onISO 10326-1,
