SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers the requiremen
2、ts for a kit that replaces a complete set (Type I and II) of mechanical ascenders that are issued in the Assault Climber Team Kit (ACTK) (A-A-59873). 2. CLASSIFICATION. The Ascender, Mechanical Single Pack will be furnished as one kit. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The kit shall be composed of the fol
3、lowing items in the following quantities as listed in Table I: TABLE I. List of items in kit 3.1 Dimensions. Individual item dimensions will be in accordance with drawings and specification requirements specified in the applicable CID document (see Table I) unless item is a manufacturers part number
4、/cage code then, in which manufacturers current specifications apply. 3.2 Color. Individual item colors will be in accordance with applicable specification (see Table I). 3.3 End item testing. Individual item test standards will be in accordance with their related International Climbing and Mountain
5、eering Federation Standards, where applicable. Individual item materials will be in accordance with applicable specifications (see Table I). 3.5 Workmanship. The Ascender, Mechanical Single Pack shall conform to the quality of product established
8、by this document. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The Ascender, Mechanical Single Pack shall have no unexpected material
9、 or component failures during a continuous one-year cycle. The Ascender, Mechanical Single Pack shall have no unexpected material or component failures during periodic use over a five year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requ
10、irements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each Ascender, Mechanical, Replacement Kit shall have identification label Class 5 conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be included in the
11、 printing for the identification label: ASCENDER, MECHANCIAL REPLACEMENT KIT NSN: XXXX-XX-XXX-XXXX (Example) The following instruction information shall be supplied: a. The name or trademark of the manufacturer, importer or supplier b. The meaning of any marking on the product c. The use of the prod
12、uct d. How to choose other components for use in the system e. How to maintain and service the product f. The lifespan of the product or how to access it g. The effects of chemical reagents and temperature on the product h. The effects of storing and aging i. Identification of the model, if more tha
13、n one model is available 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. R
14、ecycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product
