The interface and physical dimensions shall be as specified herein (see figure 1). 3.1.1 Pure tin. The use of pure tin,
25、 as an underplate or final finish, is prohibited both internally or externally. Tin content of capacitor components and solder shall not exceed 97 percent, by mass. Tin shall be alloyed with a minimum of 3 percent lead by mass (see 6.3). 3.1.2 Operating temperature range. The capacitors are rated fo
26、r their given voltages from -55C to +85C. They are derated two thirds of their given voltages at +125C. See table I. 3.2 Electrical characteristics. 3.2.1 Capacitance. See table I. Measured in accordance with method 305 of MIL-STD-202. Maximum dc bias shall be 2.2 volts for all ac measurements. The
27、frequency of the ac voltage shall be 120 5 Hz and the magnitude shall be limited to 1.0 volt rms. 3.2.2 Capacitance tolerance. K = 10 percent, M = 20 percent. 3.2.3 Rated voltage. The rated voltage shall be in accordance with table I. Above +85C, voltage derating is required. De-rate linearly from r
28、ated voltage at +85C to 0.67 x rated voltage at +125C. 3.2.4 DC leakage (DCL). In accordance with MIL-PRF-55365 and table I. 3.2.5 Dissipation factor (DF). In accordance with MIL-PRF-55365 and table I. 3.2.6 Equivalent series resistance (ESR). In accordance with MIL-PRF-55365 and table I. 3.3 Surge
29、current (Optional). Surge current shall be performed on a 100 percent basis before or after the group A (Weibull distribution) weibull FRL grading of MIL-PRF-55365. Surge current options are A, B, C, or Z in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. Upon completion of the test, the capacitors shall meet the fo
30、llowing requirements: a. DCL: See table I. b. Capacitance: Shall meet the initial measured value. c. DF: See table I. 3.4 Additional tests. The capacitors specified herein are designed to meet the following requirements. Whether the tests are actually performed or not shall be at the option of the a
31、cquiring activity (see 6.2b) and shall be negotiable with the manufacturer. Capacitors shall meet the post test requirements of MIL-PRF-55365 as specified for style CWR15 (where applicable). 3.4.1 Vibration, high frequency. Vibration, high frequency shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.4.2 T
32、hermal shock. Thermal shock shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365, except the number of cycles shall be five. 3.4.3 Solderability. Solderability shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.4.4 Surge voltage. Surge voltage shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.4.5 Moisture resistance. Moi
33、sture resistance shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.4.6 Stability at low and high temperatures. Stability at low and high temperatures shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.4.7 Resistance to soldering heat. Resistance to soldering heat shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.4.
34、8 Life. A minimum of dc rated voltage at +85C or a minimum of derated voltage at +125C for 2000 hours. 35、adiographic Inspection. Radiographic Inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.4.10 Destructive physical analysis. Destructive physical analysis shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365. 3.5 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environm
36、entally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 3.6 Marking. Marking shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365, except the “JA
37、N“ or “J“ brand does not apply. The anode (+) terminal shall be indicated by a polarity bar on the case. The PIN shall be in accordance with 1.2. 3.7 Manufacturer eligibility. To be eligible for listing as an approved source of supply, a manufacturer shall be listed on the MIL-PRF-55365 Qualified Pr
38、oduct List for any Weibull grade failure rate level part. 3.8 Certificate of compliance. A certificate of compliance shall be required from manufacturers requesting to be listed as an approved source of supply. 3.9 Workmanship. Capacitors shall be uniform in quality and free from defects that will a
39、ffect life, serviceability, or appearance. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Sampling and inspection. Qualification inspection is not required. 4.2 Conformance inspection. 4.2.1 Inspection of product for delivery. Inspection of product for delivery shall consist of the group A inspection (Weibull distribution), s
40、ubgroups 1 and 3, of MIL-PRF-55365. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Packaging. For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). When packaging of materiel is to be performed by DoD or in-house contractor personnel, these personnel need to contact the re
41、sponsible packaging activity to ascertain packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activities within the Military Service or Defense Agency, or within the military services system commands. Packaging data retrieval is available from the
42、managing Military Departments or Defense Agencys automated packaging files, CD-ROM products, or by contacting the responsible packaging activity. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. Capacitors conforming to this drawing are intended for use when military specifications do not exist and qualified military dev
43、ices that will perform the required function are not available for OEM application. This drawing is intended exclusively to prevent the proliferation of unnecessary duplicate specifications, drawings, and stock catalog listings. When a military specification exists and the product covered by this dr
44、awing has been qualified for listing, this drawing becomes obsolete and will not be used for new design. 6.2 Ordering data. The contract or purchase order should specify the following: a. Complete PIN (see 1.2). b. Additional required tests (see 3.4). c. Requirements for delivery of one copy of the
45、conformance inspection data or certificate of compliance that parts have passed conformance inspection with each shipment of parts by the manufacturer. d. Requirements for packaging and packing. 6.3 Tin whisker growth. The use of alloys with tin content greater than 97 percent, by mass, may exhibit
46、tin whisker growth problems after manufacturer. Tin whiskers may occur anytime from a day to years after manufacturer and can develop under typical operating conditions, on products that use such materials. Conformal coatings applied over top of a whisker-prone surface will not prevent the formation
47、 on tin whiskers. Alloys of 3 percent by mass, have been shown to inhibit the growth of tin whiskers.
