This commercial item description covers a plastic disposable tray containing a t

2、rough of sealant material for flameless sealing of blood filled microhematocrit tubes. Salient characteristics: Shall be a disposable plastic tray containing sealant material that is suitable for both flameless sealing of blood-filled microhematocrit tubes and retention of the sealed tubes until the

3、y are ready to be centrifuged. Shall be a disposable 24 place sealer-holder for flameless sealing of blood filled microhematocrit tubes having internal diameters ranging from 0.8 to 1.85 millimeters. Shall effectively seal and retain an inserted microhematocrit tube in a vertical position until it i

4、s ready for centrifuging. Shall consist of a rigid, flat bottomed plastic tray with a trough (compartment) containing sealant material that is white in color. Shall be-supplied with protective covering that: 1. Cov,ers the sealant material. 2. Adheres to the tray so that it does not s-lip off, but c

5、an be easily removed when the tray is ready for use. The sealant material shall be white in color to provide ready contrast with a blood column. The sealant material shall be a putty-like material that is: 1. Sufficiently plastic and pliable to allow insertion, - plugging, and retention of microhema

7、shed into the sealant with a slight twist, the sealant shall form a small plug in that end of the tube which: 1. 2. Seals that end of the tube against leakage. Does not dislodge or spin out during centrifuging. The overall dimensions of the tray shall be nominally 4-7/8 long by 1-13/16 wide by 5/16

14、) of the item. Inspections and tests. Inspections and tests shall be conducted in accordance with commercial practice to determine compliance with specification requirements. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifi- cations, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such confor- mance prio

16、r to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. Regulatory requirements. Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. If the product covered by this document has been determined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to be under its jurisdiction, t

17、he offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended, and regulations promulgated thereunder. In addition, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compli

18、ance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of all other applicable Federal, State, and local statutes, ordinances, and regulations. Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered material in accordance with Public Law 94-580 as amended, and as implemented

19、 by Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 23.4 to the maximum extent practical. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. Unless otherwise specified, preservation, packaging, and packing shall be to a degree of protection tlapieclude damage to containers and/or contents thereof under

20、 normal shipping conditions, handling, etc:, involving shipment from the supply source to the receiving activity, plus reshipment from receiving activity, and shall conform to applicable carriers rules and regulations.
