This commercial item description covers the requirements for volumetric pipets suitable f
2、or laboratory procedures. Salient characteristics. Shall be borosilicate glass precision volumetric pipets. Pipets shall be of the following sizes: 1 milliliter (mi), 3 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml, 25 ml, and 50 ml. The pipets shall be in accordance with ASTM E969 (Standard Specification for Volumetric (Transfe
3、r Pipets) as applicable to Class A. Workmanship. The pipets shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability. Unit. Each (EA). One pipet, as specified, constitutes one unit. Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered m
4、eets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for
5、under the provisions of the contract. Metric products. Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using ineh-pound units, providing they fall within the tolerances specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Feder
6、al Standard 376, and all other requirements of this document are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch-pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The con
