2、s Commercial Item Description covers surgical scissors suitable for use in the practice of eye surgery. Salient characteristics: General. The performance of the scissors shall be in accordance with ASTM F1079. Material. Material of the scissors shall be Class 4 corrosion resistant steel in accordanc
3、e with ASTM F899. Hardness. The scissors shall have a Rockwell Hardness C scale (HRC) of 50 to 55, when tested in accordance with ASTM E18 or E92 whichever is applicable. Conversion of hardness values shall be in accordance with ASTM E140. Style, desisn and dimensions. The scissors shall be in accor
4、dance with Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC) Drawing No. 20741 for style, design and dimensions. Finish. The scissors shall have a mirror finish. The cutting edge shall be properly honed. The inside blades shall be ground to remove all surface imperfections, followed by polishing to produce a
5、non-reflective finish. Passivation. The scissors shall be properly passivated. Corrosion resistance. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after deli
