9、 4.1 Rings Rings shall be circdar and have the dimensions shown in Figure4. For type 3 equipment the swinging mechanis
10、m shail allow swinging in the direction of intended use. 4.3 Dimensions AU rings shall comply with the dimensions specified in lble 2 and Fgure 5. 13、uropean Standard. 6.2 Strength When tested in accordance with 6.1, hanging rings types 1 and 2 shal show no signs of fracture, rupture, defects or release of the acjpstrnent mechanism (if any) when subjected to a vertical force of 4 530 N. When tested in accordance with 6.2, hanging rings shall show
14、 no permanent deformation of more than 10 mm in any direction when subjected to a horizontal force of 775 N for types 1 and 2; and 2 140 N for type 3. NOTE The above mentioned forces have been calculated as follows, using the load factors in accordance with Table B.l of prEN 11761:1996. Calculation

Fo
17、r type 3 equipment the rope shall be spliced and shall not be swaged or clamped. 5.4 Height of axes For type 3 hanging rings the axes of rotation of the swinging mechanism shall be not more than 5,6 metres above the ground. 5.5 Space between ring sets The distance between ring sets (b2 and b3), in t
18、heir position of intended use, shall be not less than 1 500 nim (see Table 2 and Figure 5). 6 Test methods 6.1 General Unless otherwise specified in the following, the requirements of clauses 4 and 5 shall be verified by measurement, visual examination or practical tests. Before testing the equipmen
19、t shall be assembled according to the manufacturers instructions into a condition similar to the position of use. 6.2 Strength 6.2.1 Vertical tests Carry out the vertical test in accordance with annex B of EN 9131996 and as follows. Apply a vertical force of 4 530 N without shock on the hanging ring
20、s as shown in Figure 6. Note any signs of fracture, rupture, defects or release of the aaustment mechanism. 21、ts of application of forces for horizontal tests 6.2.2 Horizontal tests Carry out the horizontal tests in accordance with annex B of EN 913:1996 and as follows. Apply a horizontal force of 775 N without shock on hanging rings types 1 and 2 as shown in Figure 7a). Apply a horizontal force of 2 140 N
22、without shock on hanging rings type 3 as shown in Figure 7b). Determine any permanent deformation greater than 10 mm. 7 Instructions for use An information booklet shall be provided by the manufacturer/supplier containing the following: - type according to Table 1; - “Not more than one user per ring
23、 set”; - “Do not adjust when in use”; - assembly and adJustment details; - a diagram showing the recommended space for safe operation. 8 Markjng Marking shall comply with EN 913.
