ThecommunicationrequirementsofmanyRT

17、TTapplicationscanbefulfilledbyDSRC.TheDSRCstandards enablecompliantcommunicationsystemstoservemultipleRTTTapplicationsinparallel. Thesmallserviceareasandsevererealtimeconstraintsrequireaspecificprotocolarchitectureleadingtothe reducedprotocolstackshowninFigureA,builtupbytheApplicationLayer,theDataLi

Theapplicationprocesses,includingapplicationdataandapplicationspecificfunctions,areoutsidethescopeof thisEuropeanStandard. Thestandardisnamed“App

22、licationLayer”although itdoesnotcoverallfunctionalityofOSILayer7and itincludesfunctionalityfromlowerlayers. ThisEuropeanStandardusesservicesprovidedbyDSRCDataLinkLayer,EN12795,andcoversfunctionalityof intermediatelayersoftheOSIBasicReferenceModelENISO/IEC74981. Figure1illustratestheglobaldataflowbet
