17、dard specifies a method of measuring the shrinkage and delamination of a finished cable. It shall be used together with EN 3475-100. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference provisions from other publications. EN 3475-100 Aerospace series - Cables, electrical, aircraft use - Test methods - Part 100: General 3 Preparation of a specimen A specimen of 300 mm shall be taken from the finished cable and cut at the ends so that the conductor is level with the insulation at the t
20、wo ends or in the case of shielded cables, all the conductors of a cable are in the same plane as the jacket at the two ends. 4 Apparatus An air circulating oven shall be required for this test. 5 Method 5.1 Procedure The specimen shall be placed in an air circulation oven for 6 h at the temperature
21、 specified in the product standard. After this time the specimen shall be removed from the oven and returned to ambient temperature. 5.2 The maximum shrinkage at either end, considered as the length of any bared part of the conductor(s), shall not exceed the values stated in the product standard. An
22、y debonding of layers, either along the insulation or at the ends, shall be considered a defect.
