Cleaning operation could be proceeded as follows: a) unmate the pair of connectors. b) u

45、se a lint free wipe or cleaning stick and an optical quality cleaning solvent to clean the front face of the optical contact without removing the contacts from their cavities. c) use dry clean air can for drying. d) inspect end face of contact using suitable inspection equipment. e) mate the pair of

46、 connectors. The cleaning procedure is the same for male and female inserts in either plug or receptacle. 9 Tooling No tools required for insertion/extraction of the optical contact. The optical contact is inserted/extracted by hand from the rear of the connector. The standard tool as per MIL-I-8196

47、9/8-10 standard (P/N for size 12) may be used.
