SCOPE The material defined by these specifications is a laminated, aluminum foil lined, kraft fiberboard of good quality and uniform construction. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released orig

3、inally for the following materials: ESB-M3E79-A as a thermal barrier and insulator under carpeting and/or other floor cover materials. ESB-M3E79-B as a replacement for asbestos/resin - bonded seat belt anchor insulator ESB-M8G145-A. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS

4、Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CONSTRUCTION Shall be constructed of a laminated core of kraft and reclaimed fiber plies, sized to reduce water absorption. Laminated to each side of the core shall

5、 be an outer liner of 0.00030 in (8 m) No. 1145-0 grade reflective aluminum foil which is mounted on hard sized kraft paper using casein/neoprene adhesive or equivalent. The aluminum foil liner shall cover both sides of the finished board. 3.3 FINISH (FLTM BI 109-01) Shall be equal to or better than

11、 a flame across its surface, at a rate of more than 4 in (101 mm) per min. To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall be in accordance with FLTM BN 24-2. 3.13 PERFORMANCE - ENVIRONMENTAL AGING All materials, portions of components, and composites defined by this specifica

12、tion that have not been treated, modified or reformulated and exceed a max burn rate of 3.0 in (76 mm) per min as specified by the Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM BN 24-2, must be evaluated for permanency of the materials flame retardant properties per ESB-M25P3-A according to the accelerated

13、 environmental aging requirements applicable to the basic material category of this particular specification. Any material portions of components, and composites defined by this specification that have been treated, modified or reformulated to conform to Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM BN 24-

14、2, regardless of max burn rate, must be evaluated for both permanency of materials flame retardant properties and changes in mechanical, chemical and physical properties per ESB-M25P3-A applicable to the basic materials category of this particular specification. 3.14 FLAMMABILITY TEST PROGRAM Materi
