2、 SPIN CLEANING ESE-M14P14-B1. SCOPEThis spe cification defines the finish polishing of parts by the abrasive- slurry spin cleaning method.2. APPLICATIONThis s pecification was released originally for a procedure used primarilyfor po wdered metal parts where a smooth surface, free of burrs and sharpe
3、dges is required in order to provide the following:2.1 Eliminate any break-in period by pre-honing for smooth operation andeli minate any harmful effect on timing belt, or other operatingparts.2.2 Remove any flash, sharp burrs, surface heat trea t scale and oxides byremoval and rounding of corners.3
4、. REQUIREMENTS3.1 SURFACE FINISH CONDITIONThe s urface finish rating in micrometers is to be specified on theen gineering drawing. The degree of surface finish is to becontrol led by the type of metal to be polished, effective spinvelocity, and finishing time cycle.3.2 APPEARANCEParts treated should
5、 have a uniform, homogeneous surface free of heattreat scale and oxides with no areas left unfinished and equivalentto the original approved samples.3.3 PROCEDUREThe process for slurry spin finishing with abras ive media shall be asfollows:Note: For product engineering approved material supplier sou
