2、NOT FOR NEW DESIGNESF-M8G64-A GASKET, STEEL/NITRILE BUTADIENE RUBBER COATED ESF-M8G64-B 1. SCOPE: The material defined by this specification is metal base, coated on each side with a firmly bonded synthetic rubber, and an additional nonadhesive coating to facilitate removal of gaskets at disassembly
3、 from adjoining metal components. This material has exceptional tensile and compressive strength as well as excellent sealing and spacer characteristics. It is especially recommended for sealing fluids at ambient temperatures up to 177 C, where high bolt torque retention is a critical factor. 2. APP
4、LICATION: This specification was released originally for material used on carburetors, between booster venturi support and mounting screw. 3. REQUIREMENTS: 3.1 THICKNESS OF COATING The material shall be coated with any thickness of nitrile butadiene rubber to meet the requirements of the application
5、 and shall be specified according to individual engineering drawings. 3.2 METAL BASE Shall conform to the following specifications: ESF-M8G64-A: SAE AA5052-H38 Tensile Strength, min 39 000 psi (269 MPa) Density 0.097 lb/in3 (2.68 g/cm3) Hardness, Brinell 70 - 80 (500 kg, load) ESF-M8G64-B: SAE 1010
