3、p to 250 +/- 2 C. Test Apparatus Refer to Figure 2 and 3 (painted or plated steel). Template Refer to Figure 1 (may be made using steel, aluminum, or suitable plastic). Materials Required Test Panels Steel body skin panels. Dimensions: 60 x 300 mm surface finish 0.9 - 1.8 mm CLA Prepare according to
4、 the following Ford Laboratory Test Methods as required by the applicable Engineering Material Specification. 1. Oiled surfaces according to FLTM BZ 150-11, Normal Grade. 2. Primed surfaces according to FLTM BI 120-01. 3. Electrocoated and spray-primed surfaces according to FLTM BI 120-01 and BI 103

Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less t
6、han 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure Method A 1. Apply to 3 test panels, prepared according to the applicable Engineering Material Specification, either a bead of sealer 200 mm in length using the template as shown in Figure 1, or a bea
7、d of premolded sealer 200 mm in length. The profiles of the premolded sealer must be pressed down to give a uniform thickness of 3 mm. 2. Place the specimens in the oven maintained at a temperature of 85 +/- 2 C for 670 h. Remove the specimens from the oven and cool to 23 +/- 2 C. 3. Test and examin
8、e the specimens as described under Evaluation. Method B 1. Apply to 3 test panels, prepare according to the applicable Engineering Material Specification, a bead of sealer 200 mm in length using the template. 2. Condition the specimens for 4 h at 23 +/- 2 C. 3. Place the specimens in the oven mainta
9、ined at a temperature of 85 +/- 2 C for 670 h. Remove the specimens from the oven and cool to 23 +/- 2 C. 4. Test and examine the specimens as described under Evaluation. Method C 1. Apply to 6 test panels, prepared according to applicable Engineering Material Specification, a bead of sealer 200 mm
10、in length using the template. 2. Condition the specimens at 23 +/- 2 C for an “open time“ of 10 minutes. 3. Cure 3 specimens in accordance with the minimum curing cycle and the other 3 specimens in accordance with the maximum curing cycle outlined in FLTM BV 150-05 (Table 2 or 3 as specified in the

Remove the specimens from the oven and condition for 2 h at 23 +/- 2 C. 5. Place the specimens in the oven at 85 +/- 2 C for 335 h. Remove the specimens
12、 from the oven and cool to 23 +/- 2 C. 6. Test and examine the specimens as described under Evaluation. Method D 1. Apply to 6 test panels, prepared according to the applicable Engineering Material Specification, a bead of sealer 200 mm in length using the template. 2. Condition the specimens at 23
13、+/- 2 C for an open time of: a. 4 h for solvent release materials or b. 10 minutes for solvent free materials 3. Cure 3 specimens in accordance with the minimum curing cycle and the other 3 specimens in accordance with the maximum curing cycle outlined in FLTM BV 150-05, Table 1. 4. Remove the speci
14、mens from the oven and condition for 2 h at 23 +/- 2 C. 5. Place the specimens in the oven at 85 +/- 2 C for 335 h. Remove the specimens from the oven and cool to 23 +/- 2 C. 6. Test and examine as described uder Evaluation. Evaluation After conditioning the specimens for 2 h at 23 +/- 2 C, bend eac
15、h specimen through an angle of 90 in 2 s around the mandrel using a bending fixture as shown in Figure 3. Examine and determine loss of adhesion, cracking and chipping as required by the applicable Engineering Material Specification. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this docu
16、ment must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
