2、ETHYLENE BACKED 300 g/m2 (8.9 oz) 1. SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are random velour, needled, nonwoven carpets of good quality and uniform composition. The carpet face is made with 100% post consumer recycled fiber. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for

3、 EcoSport MY2018 trunk side trim in Europe. It can be used for both enclosed and exposed applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification

4、is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in

5、 a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA 3.3.1 In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item floor carpet shall be tested to WSS-M8P16-B

6、and any additional SDS requirements. The details for each of the suppliers specific construction shall be documented in the supplement attached and uploaded into the scanned data package. 3.3.2 Vehicle Interior Environment Quality Materials/Component Performance Requirements Materials used in interi

7、or applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/ latest. Data must be included at the appropriate program milestone. 8、in 100% recycled content as defined by WRS- M99P42-A2 (Textile Materials, Identification of Recycled Content). 3.4 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any subsequent operations, such as reheating or molding. 3.5 APPEARANCE The

GENERAL INFORMATION This information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specif

12、ications. 4.1 DRAWING CALL OUT The following shall be called out on the Engineering drawing to correctly designate the approved material. WRS-M3H192-A1 Supplier Name and Product Code (As it appears on the Approved Source Listing) WSS-M8P16-B 4.2 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of t

13、heir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating

14、full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, C

15、ontrol Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.3 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect

16、 the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval,

17、SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.4 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDA

18、RD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this s
