SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are ethylene/propylene (EPDM) rubbers with excellent visual and environmental resistance properties. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released
、 originally for material used for windshield and backlight rubber weatherstrips and/or as specified on Engineering Drawings. In addition to the following requirements all parts made from this material must conform to the performance requirements of WSD-M9P8-A. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification
、requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MATERIAL TESTING The following tests shall be
、 performed on finished parts and/or test specimens cut from them. The test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished parts and buffed or slit to the required thickness where necessary. When not feasible, specimens cut from molded test slabs manufactured from the same material with an equivalent s
、tate of cure shall be used. The test slabs shall have the following dimensions: 150 x 150 mm, min x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONWSD-M2D405-A1/A2/A3/A4Printed copies are uncontrolled Copyright 2007, Ford Global Technologies, LLC Page 2 of 3 3.5 ORIGINAL PROPERTIES A1 A2 A3 A4 3.5
