3、0 mm gage length, ASTM E10) Mechanical properties after heat treat must be listed and controlled on the Engineering Drawing. The type of heat treatment should also be listed. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 INITIAL SUPPLIER APPROVAL BY FORD For initial approval, the su

5、pplier should contact Product Development Materials Engineering to obtain the latest revision of the Sheet Metal Material Specification/Source Approval Process and test requirement checklist. Upon initial technical approval and completion of a functional prove-out (line trial), the material will be

6、added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List (ASL). 4.2 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES PRIOR TO HEAT TREATMENT Typical properties for steel 7 11 mm thick as delivered by the steel supplier are: Yield strength: 310 to 450 MPa. Tensile strength: 450 MPa Total Elongation: 22% 4.3 METHOD OF SPECIFYING
