SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a round extruded tempered aluminum tube (coil, straight lengths and/or formed). 2. APPLICATION This material was released originally for the condenser tube
3、 for the automotive air conditioning system. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). Part producers using this material in their products, mu
4、st use Ford approved materials and must conform to a process control plan which has been approved by STA and/or the relevant Materials Activity. 3.2 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES (ASTM B 557) Tensile Strength, MPa, min 73.2 Yield Strength, MPa, min 57.6 - 76.2 Elongation, %, min 30 Note: The material proper
5、ties are specified for as received tubing. 3.3 FORMABILITY The tube ends are capable of being expanded by forcing a steel pin having an included angle of 60 into them until the outside diameter is increased 40%. The expansion shall not cause cracks, ruptures or other defects visible to the unaided e
6、ye. 3.4 INTERNAL CLEANLINESS 0.022 g/m2(ASTM B 210, para 14.2) In addition, tubing internal surfaces shall be free of scale, corrosion, embedded materials or other similar foreign material. 3.5 FINISH The tube, as supplied, shall have a clean matte appearance having a slight oil coating and with no visible signs of any mechanical imperfections (dents, scratches) or damage (internally or externally). 3.6 PACKAGING Packaging shall be per manufacturing plant requirements.
