SCOPE The material defined by this specifications is a flexible polyurethane coated coverstock with a knitted, nonwoven, or knitted spacer fabric backing used in the production of wrapped IP, interior door panel or console lid. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally as a flexib
4、le skin that can be used to wrap and thread top stitch a hard plastic substrate for an instrument panel. This material must also meet the requirements in WSS-M15P45-B/latest and any applicable SDS, including, but not limited to the IP, IT and PAB SDS. WSS-M2F206-A1: Polyurethane coated coverstock wi
5、th a knitted fabric backing originally released for the S197 topper panel. WSS-M2F206-A2: Polyurethane coated coverstock with a nonwoven fabric backing originally released for the D385 instrument panel binnacle. WSS-M2F206-A3: Polyurethane coated coverstock with a knitted spacer fabric originally re
6、leased for the D385 instrument panel. 2.1 Limitations Only the A3 construction can be used for seamless PAB (passenger air bag) instrument panel applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approve
7、d Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.1.1 Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Materials/Component Performa
8、nce Requirements Components used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/-
9、 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 APPEARANCE The color, grain, gloss and hand shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. Any spotty or non-uniform staining, discoloration, color tone change, blistering, delamination or any other deleterious effect

Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Produc
26、t Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samp
27、les must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.2 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All mate
28、rials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the
