2、13-A1 WITH HIGH STRETCH PERFORMANCE 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an expanded polyvinyl chloride film laminated to a knitted high stretch polyester fabric. These materials can be used laminated with foam and/or a backing fabric/scrim, based on the application. 2. APPLICATION
3、 This specification was released originally for the MKX door and is intended for use in interior trim as a covering for door trim or IP wrapping applications in passenger vehicles. Any other applications must be evaluated by the appropriate product engineer with functional testing and approved by Ma
4、terials Engineering. 2.1 LIMITATIONS This material is not intended for seating applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS 3.1.1 Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior E
5、nvironmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.1.2 In addition to the requirements listed herein, this material shall meet the requirements of WSS-M15P45-B/Latest Instrument Panel and Soft Interior Components, Flexible Cover Skin Materia
6、l Performance specification. Depending on the application, the material may be required to meet WSS-M8P3-E1/E2/E3/latest, Performance, Flexible Polymeric Film, Interior Quality. 3.2 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Appr
7、oved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CADfile or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All values are based on material co
8、nditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.4 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, grain, gloss level and finish shall match the ap

GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Con
12、tact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed c
13、opy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year.

15、NG RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the
16、supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Spec
17、ifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.3 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company directi
18、on applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
