SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an injection molding compound composed of a polypropylene matrix, with 30% by weight long glass fi
3、ber reinforcement with typical fiber length between 9-16 mm. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for instrument panel structure and floor console structure. 2.1 LIMITATIONS This material does not contain UV stabilizers, long term exposure to direct sunlight wi
4、ll cause chalking and loss of gloss. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.1 This specification is based on virgin materials, however m
5、aterials with recycled content as defined by WRS-M99P42-A1 (post-consumer and/or post industrial recyclates and repolymerised recycled materials) should be used whenever technically feasible and following all materials and PV testing required by Ford Materials Engineering. The use of regrind is perm
6、itted, for economic/environmental reasons, with compliance as indicated in WSS-M99P1111-A. 3.1.2 Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-C1/Latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environment Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be incl
7、uded in material submission package. 3.1.3 Performance Criteria: Parts using this specification shall meet the appropriate performance specifications, WSS-M15P45-B/Latest or WSS-M15P4-F/Latest. 3.1.4 Processing Criteria: Proper processing parameters and equipment should be used to preserve maximum f
8、iber length in molded parts as specified and measured by the raw material supplier. Raw material supplier must be involved upfront for mold flow, CAE, and tooling design and should be present at all molding trial.
