SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an injection molding compound composed of a polypropylene matrix, with 30% by weight long glass fiber reinfo
3、rcement with typical fiber length between 9-16 mm. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for door module structures. 2.1 LIMITATIONS This material does not contain UV stabilizers, long term exposure to direct sunlight will cause chalking and loss of gloss. 3. RE
4、QUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.1 This specification is based on virgin materials. Materials with post-consumer, post industrial, or r
5、epolymerised recycled materials as defined by WRS-M99P42-A1 are preferred and should be used whenever feasible. 3.1.2 The use of regrind is permitted, for economic / environmental reasons, with compliance as indicated in Ford Engineering CAD and Drafting Standard E-4. 3.1.3 Performance Criteria: Par
6、ts using this specification shall meet the appropriate system design specifications (SDS) requirements 3.1.4 Processing Criteria: Proper processing parameters and equipment should be used to preserve maximum fiber length in molded parts as specified and measured by the raw material supplier. Raw mat
7、erial supplier must be involved upfront for mold flow, CAE, and tooling design and should be present at all molding trial. WSS-M99D514-A1 is to be used for thermoplastic compounds using long glass fiber masterbatch pellets. WSS-M99D514-A2 is to be used for thermplastic compounds using Direct Long gl
8、ass Fiber Technology (DLFT) or Injection Molding Compounding (IMC). 9、imens. The test specimens A and D shall be molded using molding conditions defined in ISO 1873-2. No annealing is allowed. See Table 1 for the number of samples required.
