3、etween the Korean and English language, the Korean language shall take precedence. 1.1 Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to determine the volume and the density of an elastomeric test piece. The volume will be determined by measuring the weight of the test piece in air, and apparent weight in

4、 a liquid. 1.1.1 Principle. The method of measuring volume is based on the following principle. Any things immersed in a liquid exhibit an apparent loss of weight. This loss of weight is equal to the weight of liquid displaced by the things. If the density of the liquid is known, the volume of thing

This standard shall normally apply to the test pieces of automotive parts whose specific gravity is at least 1. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable unless otherwise specified. 2.1 External Standards/Specifications. The test piece and sinkers shall be quickly dipped into methanol or ethanol prior to the immersion in the liquid to minimize air bubbles adhering on them and used.
