The purpose of this standard is to determine of the compressibility of a cellular elastomer, used in a seal or shock absorber, under a specified force. 1.2 Applica

The pressure foot shall be gently lowered so as to contact the test piece support under a force of 0.5 1 N and the height of the test piece determined to the nearest 0.1
12、mm (h0). 4.2.5 The force is increased by (180.9) N (giving a total force of (201.0) N by means of pressure foot. Alternative loads may be used if specified on the relevant part drawing. 4.2.6 The total force shall be applied for a period of (100.2) seconds, and then while the force is still applied,
13、 the height of the test piece is determined to the nearest 0.1 mm (h1). 4.2.7 Testing speed shall be 12 mm/minute. 5 Data 5.1 Evaluations. There are two different methods of evaluating the compressibility, and the pertinent method shall be indicated on relevant part drawing. 5.1.1 Evaluation Method
