SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a pumpable, two component structural adh
2、esive. It is obtained by mixing in a specific ratio HN 2089 and HN 2090. It is used to bond hem flanges of engine hoods, deck lids and doors. It is suitable for use on oily and unclean surfaces such as galvanised steel, zinc coat steel and cold rolled, low carbon steel (CRLC). A component of the adh
3、esive causes some initial strength to be obtained immediately on hem closure. This is followed by a partial room temperature cure and full cure in the Elpo oven. 2. 4、lied in cartridges, the extruded product must be mixed according to the recommended ratios described above. ROOM TEMPERATURE AND FULL CURE PERFORMANCE 4.1 Expansion (No porosity or expansion) Extrude a 13 mm dia bead 200 mm long on to a 100 x 300 mm CRLC steel panel. Place
10、 the test panel in an oven and bake at 190“ C for 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 1 hour then cut the adhesive and panel longitudinally through the centre of the bead. 12、Prepare a corrosion test assembly by taking a 0.8 x 300 x 100 mm CRLC steel panel and place a 12 x 1 x 250 mm bead of adhesive centrally on it. Cure the adhesive by baking for 30 minutes at 190“ C. Have the panel assembly put through the production phosphate and Elpo paint system. Expose the panel t
13、o 20 cycles of the procedure given in HN 0214. After completion of the last cycle rinse the panel in warm water. With a sharp knife remove adhesive from the panel. Examine the panel condition below the adhesive. There must be no sign of rust. 4.3 Room Temperature/FuII Cure Performance 4.3.1 Shear St
14、rength Samples are prepared to SAE J 1523 using production CRLC test pieces. After cleaning with solvent, 2 drops of HN 0233 rust proofing oil solution is applied to each test piece and spread with a non-absorbent spreader. The adhesive is applied to a controlled thickness of 0.25 mm. 4.3.1 .I Initi
