SALIENT CHARACTERI
2、STICS: The shoes shall be a low cut, oxford style with a Bal lace opening. Construction shall be the conventional lay-up method. Each shoe shall have 5 pairs of eyelets and may have a padded quarter-top opening. There shall be two foxing strips and a bumper strip. The color of the upper outer fabric
3、 shall be Navy Blue. Component parts of the shoe shall consist of a vamp, quarter, tongue, lining, toe cap, counters, foxing, bumper strip, outsole, insole, bottom stiffener, bindersole, eyelets and laces. Additional requirements for component parts are as follows: Upper material - The upper materia
4、l shall be a cotton duck or a cotton/synthetic blend. The color shall be Navy Blue. Fabric construction shall be standard contractors material. Lining material- The lining material shall be a cotton duck or a cotton/synthetic blend. The calor shall be natural. The lhing may be a loose lining or may

The outsole design shall be a chevron style and may be molded in the sole or cut in the premolded sole unit. Any color may be used. Insole
6、 - Shall be a full cushioned type laminated to a suitable fabric. Binder sole -May be made of sole compound or other suitable compound. Bottom stiffener - May be made of sole compound or other suitable compound. Foxing - Each shoe shall have two foxings made of sole compound or other suitable compou

8、 suitable compound. The color shall be White. Toe cap - Shall be rubber coated fabric adhered to vamp or vamp lining. Any color may be used. Counters - Shall be a rubber coated fabric. May be stitched to quarters or free standing between quarters and loose lining. Eyelets - May be a bright finish co
9、rrosion-resistant metal or roller coated or tumble coated with enamel. Color is optional. When eyelet washers are used, the washers need not be coated. Laces - Laces may be round braided (approximately 1/8 inch diameter) or flat tubular braided (approximately 1/4 inch wide) and tipped. Length of lac
10、es shall be graded to proper length for each shoe size. Laces shall be made of cotton or a cotton/synthetic blend and shall be White in color. Stitching - All upper stitching shall be done using stitch type 301, with 6-10 stitches per inch. Color of the thread shall approximately match the color of
11、the upper outer fabric. As an alternate, white thread may be used. Size, content and strength of the thread shall be sufficient to assure durability and prevent breakage. Label - Contractors standard labels and method of attaching are acceptable. Sizes and Lasts - Shoes shall be made over the contra
12、ctors standard lasts for a medium width in sizes 6 to 12-1/2 (whole and half sizes) and 13. OUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS: Major and Minor Defects. Sampling and end item inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. The inspection level shall be Level I and the AQLs shall be 2.5 for Major and 6
13、.5 for total. The lot size shall be expressed in units of one finished shoe and selection shall be by pairs. During the manufacturing process, the manufacturer shall remove parts with defective materials and workmanship damages and replace with non-defective components. Major type defects are as fol

Cushion insole not securely adhered to inside of shoe. Insole wrinkled, distorted, bulged, or out of alignment to an extent th

18、the maximum extent practicable. PACKAGING: Each pair of shoes shall be packed in an individual shoe box, approximately 5 inches in width X 5 inches in depth X 14 inches in length or in the contractors standard box. PACKING: Twelve (12) pairs of shoes packaged as above, of one size only, shall be pac
19、ked in a fiberboard shipping container assembled and closed conforming to type CF, class domestic, grade 275, size 3A of MIL-B-17757. The packages shall be packed flat, four in length, one in width, and three in depth. Toward the end of the contract, or when there are less than the required amount p
20、er container of the same size, mixed sizes may be packed withing the same shipping container. MARKING: Each individual shoe box shall have the size and contractors style number legibly stamped or printed thereon. Other marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
