12、otherwise specified in the contract (see 6.2), first article samples of the igniters are required and shall be manufactured using the methods and procedures proposed for production. The samples shall be tested as specified in Section 4 for the purposes of determining, prior to starting production, t

All materials, parts and assemblies shall be in accordance with 10524201 , this specification, and the doc
14、uments referenced herein. When drawings or specifications permit the use of equivalent items or materials, authorization to use a specific alternate shall be obtained from the Government procuring activity in writing. 3.3 Product characteristics and performance requirements. 3.3.1 Visual examination

27、eginning of regular production a sample shall be submitted in accordance with contract requirements and shall consist of 26 assembled igniters, 10 sets of unassembled parts (including explosive components) for visual and dimensional examination and 23 sets of unassembled components without explosive

The sample shall be manufactured using the same materials, equipment, processes and procedures as used in regular production, All parts and materiais, including packaging and packing,shall be the same as used for regular production and shall be obtained from th

Samples for examination shall follow MIL-STD-105, general inspection level II. 4.4.2.2 Sampling for ballistic (pressure-time) performance. A sample of 21 igniters shall be submitted to the Naval Ordnance Station, Indian Head, MD 20640. pro
36、duct ion. The igniters shall not be preselected during 4.5 Examination and tests. 4.5.1 Examination. One hundred percent examination shall be performed for all critical defects. Examination for major or minor defects shall be performed on a defect basis in accordance with the classification of defec
37、ts, using the sampling plan of MIL-STD-105, general inspection level II. The total number of allowable defects per class for either the major or minor class shall not exceed an AQL level of 1.0% and 1.5% respectively. shall be cause for rejection of the lot. 38、ted. Four power (4X) magnification may be used in performing visual examination for such defects as. burrs and foreign matter. 43、 radio- graphically inspected in accordance with MIL-STD-453, radiographic quality level 1 at ambient temperature. Any defect shall be cause for rejection of the igniter. Radiographs shall be capable of determining proper seating of primer, proper installation and crimping of igniter disc, an proper
44、 loading of ignition pellets. When specified in the contract (see 6.2), one set of radiographs taken of each igniter in the lot shall be forwarded to the Naval Ordnance Station, Indian Head, MD 20640. Acceptance of the igniter lot shall be subject to approval of the radiographs by the Naval Ordnance
