SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers motor-generators for convert- ing 60-hertz(Hz) power to 400-Hz pwer. The motor input current is to be 3 phase, 416 volt(v), 60 Hz, 4 wire, and

2、the alternator output to be 100 kilowatts (kw) , 0.8 power factor (pf) lagging, 400 Hz, 3 phase, 4 wire, 120/208 v, reconnectable to 240/416 V. 2. The motor-generator (hereafter referred to as set) shall consist of a brushless motor and brushless alternator installed in a c

21、ommon housing with rotors on a common shaft supported by a single bearing at each end, a static voltage regulator, a rigid skid base, a splashproof housing, and all other devices required to achieve a complete motor generator set. following voltage ratings: to line (240/416) wye. to line (120/208) w

Prior to submission of any comp1et:e production items for acceptance,

When specified (see 6.

26、21, the supplier shall furnish to the Government one or more sets for in they shall serve merely to hold current- carrying parts (lugs, terminals, etc.) in firm contact with each other. Where flow of current through a stud cannot be avoided, the stud and all its associated hardware (nuts, locking de

27、vices, washers, etc.) shall be made of corrosion- resistant material. Positive means (such as square shanks or pins) shall be provided for preventing turning of studs in their mountings when nuts are tightened or loosened: lock- washers which depend on friction or spring action will not be accepted

28、for this purpose, Unused length of studs (or screws used as studs) shall not exceed half the diameter of the stud. 3.4.13 Fasteners, except electrical. Fasteners, except electrical, shall conform to requirement 12 of MIL-m-454. No swaging, peening, or staking of parts subject to removal or adjustmen

29、t shall be permitted. 3.4.14 Terminal boards and strips. Terminal boards and strips shall conform to requirement 19 of MIL-STD-454. Ter- minal boards and strips shall be used in preference to quick disconnect connectors, which shall be used only where termi- nal boards and strips cannot practicably

30、be used. 3.4.15 Hinqes and latches. Hinges shall conform to MS35823 and shall be material A when attached to aluminum and material C when attached to steel. Latches shall be made of corrosion- resisting metal and shall require manual, not spring, action for closing. 3.4.16 Tiedowns. Tiedowns shall b

31、e provided in accordance with the requirements of MIL-A-8421. 3.4-17 Semiconductors. Semiconductors shall conform to requirement 30 of MIL-STD-454. In addition, all semiconductors shall be capable of withstanding, or be protected against, transient voltages and current peaks as may be experienced du

32、ring the following conditions: terminals. Rotating rectifiers shall be readily accessible for testing and re- placement in the field. 3.4.18 Sheet metal screws. Sheet metal screws shall not . be used. 3.4.19 Quick

34、 disconnect fasteners. Quick disconnect fas- teners shall conform to type II or type III of MIL-F-5591. 3.4.20 Wirinq. Single-conductor wire shall conform to MIL-W-5086. Multiconductor cables shall conform to MIL-C-3432. All wires shall be not smaller in diameter than No. 16 American Wire Gage(AWG).

When single conductor wire is used for interconnection of these components, the wire shall be bundled in polyethylene

38、 tubing conforming to type A, form U of MIL-1-631, except for wire in the control cabinet. Tubing shall extend the entire length of each wire and shall be secured at the ends by means of integral clamps on the connectors. Except for wiring integral with control devices, any control wiring energized

39、by direct current(dc) shall be colored red, and the color shall contrast distinctly with the color of other control wiring.
