5、E CRADLE. THE CRADLES SHALL BE UNITIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-1323-169. PROCEDURES AND PRACTICES DESCRIBED HEREIN ARE INTENDED FOR 40 TO 45 FT. FLATBED TRAILERS. DO NOT USE TRAILERS WITH NON-NAILABLE FLOORS. WHEN LOADING TRAILERS LONGER THAN 40 FT., POSITION LOAD IN CENTER OF TRAILER. CHAINS AN
6、D STEEL STRAPS MAY BE USED INTERCHANGEABLY FOR TIE-DOWNS ON A 1 TO 1 BASIS. 9、INS AND LOADBINDERS HAVE BEEN INSPECTED AND SHALL SO NOTE IN ITEM NO. 23 OF DD FORM 626. ANY DEFICIENCY SHALL BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OFA CHAIN OR LOADBINDER. TWO HIGH UNIT LOADS SHALL BE UNITIZED AS SHOWN ON PAGE 8. EACH STACK OF CRADLES IS SECURED TOGETHERWITH TWO 1 1/4 X .O35 CROSS STRAPS. THESE S
10、TRAPS PASS THROUGH THE FORK POCKETS OF THE TOP CRADLES AND RETURN THROUGH THE FORK POCKETS OF THE CRADLES BENEATH THE TOP CRADLES. THE STRAPS ARE SEALED WITH ON DOUBLE NOTCHED SEAL. EDGE PROTECTORS SHALL BE USED AT EACH FORK POCKET. A SEPARATOR SHALL BE USED BETWEEN CONTAINERS OF THE SAME STACK, SEE

THE MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT OF THE TRACTOR-TRAILER AND THE ALLOWABLE AXE WIGHTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CARRIER, THE CARRIER WILL ADVISE THE SHIPPER OF THESE LIMITATIONS AND THE SHIPPER SHALL LOAD THE TRAILER IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE TRACTOR
