This specification covers the general requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of the Computer Memory Loader-Verifier Test Set, AN/ASM-60
3、7(V), referred to herein as the MLV. This specification is to be used in conjunction with the applicable specification sheets and drawings listed in Supplement 1. 2. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein the text of this speci- ficat
14、ion shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS. I 3.1 Specification sheets. The MLV requirements shall be as specified herein and in accordance with the applicable detai
15、l specification sheets. The MLV shall operate
16、 in conjunction with the applicable Government-furnished software system installed on the MLV Magnetic Tape Memory (MTM) (see Drawing 1164AS320). Additional required GFE shall be further defined in all contracts and pro- curing documents (see 6.2.1). 3.2 First article. When specified in the contract
17、 or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.2 and 6.3). 3.3 Characteristics. 3.3.1 Performance. The performance requirements for each MLV shall be as specified in the individual detail specification sheet. 3.3.1.1 Input voltages. The MLV shall operate from avai
18、lable aircraft power of 115 volts (Y), 400 hertz (Hz), 3-phase, under the steady state conditions specified in MIL-STD-704, for Category B equipment. 3.3.1.1.1 Current consumption. Current consumption shall be not greater than 1.0 ampere (A) through any input power connector pin during any mode of o
19、peration. 3.3.1.2 Electrical power. The MLV shall operate from a power source as specified in MIL-T-21200 for Class 2 equipment. 3.3.1.2.1 Protection, The MLV shall withstand input power variations imposed by abnormal electric system operations as defined in MIL-STD-704, and shall meet the applicabl
20、e sections of MIL-STD-704, Category B equipment, with the following exceptions: a. Normal system operation shall be defined for input power within the normal steady-state limits. b. Abnormal system operation shall be defined for variations of input power outside the normal steady-state limits. term

The contractor shall prepare a production reliabil- ity program plan, when specified in the contract, using MIL-STD-785 as a guide (see 6.2.2). This program plan shall b
25、e approved by the procuring activity prior to implementation. .3.3.3.1 Mean-time-between-failures (MTBF). The MLV, in conjunction with the MTM (see 3.1.1) shall demonstrate a minimum acceptable MTBF of 500 hours when tested as specified in 4.6. 3.4 Design and construction. 3.4.1 Production drawings.
26、 The applicable MLV shall be fabricate and assembled in accordance with the documents referenced on Drawing 1164AS230 and as specified herein. 3.4.2 Standards of manufacture. As a minimum, the MLV shall be manufac- tured, inspected, and tested under conditions and procedures meeting the requirements
27、 specified herein, and as specified on the applicable detail specification sheet. 3.4.2.1 Soldering. The facilities used in the manufac- ture, testing, and inspection of the MLVs shall meet the requirements of MIL-STD-1695 (electric assembly) Work Area 5. 3.4.3 Identification and marking. MLVs shall be identified and marked as specified on the
29、respective drawings. 3.4.4 Workmanship. The MLVs shall be fabricated in a manner that will ensure compliance with all requirements specified herein and on the respec- tive specification sheets. accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 9. 32、ure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements, 41.1 Responsibility for compliance, All items must meet all require- ments of sections 3 and 5, The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. 34、terial, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to acceptance of defective material. Sampling in quality confor- 4.1.2 Classification of inspections or tests. The inspections or tests specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 4.2). b. Quality
35、conformance inspections (see 4.3). c. Acceptance tests (see 4*4). 6 Licensed by Information Handling Services4.2 First article inspection. First article inspection shall be made on equipments representative of the production equipments to be supplied under the contract. The sample size and testing s
36、equence shall be as specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.1). The tests shall be accomplished under the responsibility of the contractor and shall be conducted in accord- ance with the approved test procedure (see 4.2.2.4) in accordance with the tests specified in Table I. Contractors
37、 not having adequate facilities to conduct all required tests shall obtain the services of a commercial testing laboratory acceptable to the Government. 4.2.1 Scope of tests. The tests shall include all tests deemed neces- sary, by the procuring activity, to determine that the equipment meets all th
38、e requirements of this specification, the detail specification sheets, other applicable specifications and the contract. Within the limits specified in MIL-T-21200, first article tests shall include the f o 1 lowing : a. Acceptance test (see 4.4) b. Reliability assurance test (see 4.6) c. Environmen
39、tal tests (see 4.5) 4.2.2 Test procedures, provisions and equipment. 4.2.2.1 Maintenance and calibration. All test equipment shall be Cali- brated and maintained in accordance with a plan in accordance with MIL-STD-45662 (see 6.2.2). 4.2.2.2 Instruments and test equipment. All instruments and test e
40、quipment used for inspection and testing shall conform to the require- ments of MIL-STD-45662. 4.2.2.3 Test facility environment. Unless otherwise specified herein, or on the applicable detail specification sheet, tests shall be performed under the following conditions of environment: a. Temperature

When specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.21, the procedures used for conducting all tests shall be prepared by the contractor for procuring activity review and approval. The right is reserved by the procur
46、ing activity or the Government inspector to modify the tests or require any additional tests deemed necessary to determine compliance with the requirements of this specification and the contract. MIL-T-18303 shall be used as a guide for preparation of test procedures. When approved test procedures a
47、re available from previous contracts such pro- cedures may be used if approved by the procuring activity. However, the right is reserved by the procuring activity to require modification of such procedures, including additional tests, when deemed necessary (see 6.2.1). 4.3 Quality conformance inspec
48、tions. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.1), the examinations and tests comprising quality conformance inspections shall be performed in accordance with 4.4. 4.4 Acceptance tests. The contractor shall be responsible for accom- plishing the acceptance tests. The co
49、ntractor shall make available the test procedure for procuring activity approval prior to testing. All inspection and testing shall be under the supervision of the Government inspector. Contractors not having testing facilities satisfactory to the cognizant technical activity shall engage the service of a commercial testing laboratory acceptable to the procuring activity. When specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.23, the contractor shall prepare test reports showing qualitative results for all acceptance tests. Such reports shall be signed by an authori
