C. 20036.) 3 . REQUIREMENT S 3.1 First article. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), before productio
8、n is commenced, a first article shall be submitted or made available to the contracting officer or his authorized representative for approval in accordance with 4.3. commencement of production, but does not relieve the supplier of responsibility for compliance with all provisions of this specificati
9、on. The first article shall be manufactured in the same facilities to be used for the manufacture of the production item. 3.2 Materials. Materials shall be as specified herein. Materials not definitely specified shall be in accordance with good commercial quality for the intended purpose. Materials
10、shall be moisture resistant and flame retardant and materials which provide a nutrient medium for fungus shall not be used. 11、5 m MIL-V-28928A (MC) 3.2.1 Metal. The metals shall be lightweight, corrosion resistant, or suitably treated to resist corrosion, in atmospheric conditions to which the viewer-printer will be subjected when in storage or during service in the arctic, temperate, or tropic zones. Dissimilar metals, wh
12、ere used together, shall be suitably protected against electrolytic corrosion. “3.3 Desian and construction. The portable viewer-printer shall be a self-contained single unit suitable for carrying by two men. When set up for use, the panels and flush doors shall open to expose the retractable film s
13、pool pivots, film threading chamber, viewing screen, print processor, control panel and electrical power input receptacles. Closing of the panels and doors shall make the unit dusttight and easy to transport. When closed for transportation, the unit with its flush sides shall have the appearance of
14、a small trunk or footlocker, with a handle on each end for hand carrying. The unit shall meet the functional characteristics of this specification. The design shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: (a) Provisions for handling 35-millimeter (mm) strips and rolls of aerial fil
15、m in lengths up to 250 feet. Film loading access shall be from the front of the unit. (b) Viewing of a 35-nun photographic negative at enlargement on a 9 by 9 inch illuminated 8X tl0 percent viewing screen in full room light or daylight. Viewing screen brightness uniformity shall be within 50 percen
16、t of the on-axis illumination level in the open gate condition. On-axis illumination at the 8X. magnification shall be a minimum of 125 foot lamberts. (c) A positive print of the negative being viewed shall be made quickly and conveniently from a roll of photographic paper in a lighttight cassette u
17、nder daylight conditions. The print shall exhibit an axial resolution of 64 lines/rrun referred to the short conjugate at the 8X magnification. To facilitate maintenance, miniaturized, replaceable, packaged components shall be utilized in the electrical assemblies of the viewer-printer, except where it is mutually agreed that a greater reliability and superior service life would result from a permanently wired constru

A blower unit shall be provided to cool the projection lamp and housing so that no film damag
