、ENTS 3.1 MATERIALS 3.1.1 Electrical Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Conduit (EPC) EPC shall be made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic compound and shall meet the dimensional and physical requirements of NEMA TC 2-2013. Clean, reworked material, and recycled, post-industrial material may be used, provid
、ed that the EPC produced shall meet the requirements of this standard. 3.1.2 Solvent Cements PVC solvent cements shall be in accordance with ASTM D 2564 or as specified by the manufacturer. PVC primers shall be in accordance with ASTM F 656 or as specified by the manufacturer. ASTM F 402 is referenc

Note: For cellular/foamed conduit consult the manufacturer for any product specific priming and solvent cement instructions. 3.2 COLOR EPC should be gray in color. Other colors are acceptable if agreed to by the parties involved. 3.3 D
、IMENSIONS AND LENGTHS Dimensions of EPC shall meet the requirements of Table 3-1 when determined in accordance with section 5.2. Lengths shall be in accordance with section 3.3.4. Trade sizes and metric designators used throughout NEMA TC 2-2013 are for identification purposes only, and are not actu

、 Out-of-roundness tolerance shall apply only at the time of manufacture, not to EPC that has been packaged and placed in yard storage. 3.3.3 Wall Thickness The minimum wall thickness shall be measured at one end of the EPC with a micrometer as defined in ASTM D 2122. 3.3.4 Conduit Length The overall
、 length, including the integral bell or coupling, is commonly 10 ft 3/4 in. (3.05 m 0.02 m) or 20 ft 1 in. (6.10 m 0.03 m). A tape measure accurate to 1/16 in. ( 1 mm) shall be permitted to be used to measure the length. Other lengths are acceptable if agreed to by the parties involved. 3.3.5 Minimu
、m Inside Diameter The minimum inside diameter shall be measured at one end of the EPC per section 5.2.4. TC 2-2013 Page 5 2013 National Electrical Manufacturers Association 3.4 JOINTS 3.4.1 Molded Couplings Molded PVC couplings, per NEMA TC 3, may be supplied with EPC. Molded EPC fittings are interc

Note: Fabricated EPC fittings are manufactured from either EPC-40 or EPC-80 and should be used with the respective EPC. 3.4.2 Integral Belled Ends EPC may have integral belled ends. The integral belled ends shall be in accordance with the dimensions sho
、wn in Table 3-2. The length of the integral belled end shall be measured with an instrument accurate to 1/16 in. ( 1 mm). A tape measure or steel rule is adequate. The wall thickness of an integral belled end shall be considered satisfactory if formed from EPC meeting the requirements of this standa
、rd. Integral belled ends shall be centered to provide a visible shoulder around the entire circumference of the EPC. The integral belled end shall be considered satisfactory if it accepts the go/no-go gauges as specified in Table A-2. . 3.5 INSPECTIONS The manufacturer shall inspect the EPC at time
