31、afety safeguards foraircraft maintenance was launched in 1955. NFPA 410A, Recommendations on Safeguarding Air-craft Electrical System Maintenance Operations, wasadoptedin1958,aswasNFPA410B, Recommen-dations onAircraft Breathing Oxygen Systems Maintenance Operations;NFPA410C, Recommendationson Safegu
32、ardingAircraft Fuel System Maintenance, was adopted in 1962; NFPA410D, Recommenda-tions forSafeguarding ofAircraft Cleaning, Painting, and Paint Removal, wasadoptedin1965;bothNFPA410E, Recommended Safe Practice forAircraft Welding Operations in Hangars, and NFPA410F,Recommendations on Safeguarding A
33、ircraft Cabin Cleaning and Refurbishing Operations, wereadopted in 1963. The 1980 edition of NFPA 410 was a compilation of the 410 series as astandard. The 1989 edition of the standard was completely revised. A chapter was added forthe fire protection of ramp areas where aircraft can be parked.The 1
34、994 edition was a reconfirmation of the 1989 edition. The 1999 edition was a partialrevision.The 2004 edition of this standard added additional requirements for painting of aircraftwithin a hangar.Also, the fire protection requirements were consolidated into one chapter.The 2010 edition removed unen
35、forceable language to comply with the Manual of Style forNFPA Technical Committee Documents and reorganized Chapter 7 on aircraft external cleaning,painting, and paint removal to eliminate confusion and provide clarity.The 2015 edition updates the portable extinguisher requirements to address the ph
