SCOPE The purpo

10、se of this AIR is to provide a comprehensive description document that displays various examples of transport and business aircraft systems driving Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizers. The main focus is on mechanical systems which may be actuated hydraulically or electrically. The document is intended

11、as an overview for those specifying or designing Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuators in order to compare existing solutions as reference for implementation in new aircraft programs. 2. DESCRIPTION CONTENTS Section 4 includes

17、available data on a number of units, ideally covering all the following aspects: 3.1 Schematics General arrangement of the unit in terms of structural lay-out and control functions principles. 3.2 Design Loads Limit and ultimate tensile and compressive loads applicable to primary and secondary load

18、paths. 3.3 Operating Requirements Maximal operating loads and associated rates, or other performance points, one or two motors active. 3.4 Strokes Horizontal stabilizer maximal deflection angles in A/C nose up and A/C nose down directions, associated actuator linear strokes. 3.5 Primary Actuation Co

19、mponents Brief description of the primary actuation components such as ball screw, ACME screw, pair of interconnected ACME screws, cylinder and piston assemblies etc. 3.6 Safety Requirements Fail-safe/fail-op requirements such as: Horizontal Stabilizer uncontrolled movement allowed within a given ra

20、nge, after 1st failure Horizontal Stabilizer controlled movement required, possibly within a restricted range, after 1st failure Horizontal Stabilizer immobilization require secondary load path after 1st failure etc 3.7 Structural Redundancy Concept Main features of the primary and secondary load pa
