10、MISSION FROM ULCONSTRUCTION5 Assembly5.1 Exit doors that incorporate a door operator shall have the door operator evaluated to the Standard forDoor, Drapery, Gate, Louver, and Window Operators and Systems, UL 325.PERFORMANCE6 Normal Operation Test6.1 The assembly is to be installed on a simulated do
11、or and frame assembly in accordance with themanufacturers instructions. For this test, the assembly is to be lubricated with the same material that isprovided at the factory or recommended by the manufacturer. The closing speed of the door is to beadjusted to its maximum speed.6.2 After assembly the
12、 release mechanism is to be constructed so that a horizontal force of 50 pounds(220 N) or less, can be applied to cause a swing out of the door.6.3 An appropriate actuating device to trigger the door open, as in service, is to be installed onto theassembly. The rate of operation is to be approximate
13、ly 5 to 8 cycles per minute. The door shall functionas intended for 300,000 cycles of operation without failure or excessive wear of parts.6.4 After the 300,000 cycles the release mechanism of the exit door shall be constructed so that ahorizontal force of 50 pounds (220 N) or less, will swing out t
14、he door.6.5 The horizontal force shall be applied and measured at the following locations:a) On the horizontal centerline of door, left hand edge.b) 9 inches (23 cm) above the horizontal centerline (CL) of door, left hand edge.c) 9 inches (23 cm) below the horizontal centerline (CL) of door, left ha
15、nd edge.d) 12 inches (30.5 cm) right of left hand door edge, on the horizontal centerline.e) 12 inches (30.5 cm) right of left hand door edge, above the horizontal centerline.f) 12 inches (30.5 cm) right of left hand door edge, below the horizontal centerline.7 Emergency Swing Out Operation Test7.1
16、The swing out panel of the sample door assembly previously subjected to the Normal Operation Test,Section 6, is to be mechanically opened and closed at a rate of 5 to 8 cycles per minute for 100,000cycles. The door shall function as intended for 100,000 cycles of operation without failure or excessi

20、24-inch (61- by 61-cm) sample of the door assembly is to be subjected to a 24-hourexposure in a salt spray chamber at 95F (35C) and a salt solution of 20 percent by weight.8.2 The release force measured before the salt spray test shall not exceed 50 lbf (220 N).8.3 After the 24-hour exposure the sam
21、ple is to be removed from the salt spray chamber and allowed toair dry for 24 hours without cleaning.8.4 After 24 hours of air-drying without cleaning, the samples are to be subjected to the release force testfor 10 additional cycles. The release force measured after the cycling tests shall not exce
22、ed 50 lbf (220N).MARKINGS9 General9.1 Each exit door shall be clearly and permanently marked with the following:a) The manufacturers or private labelers name or identifying symbol,b) A distinctive catalog designation or the equivalent.9.2 When a manufacturer produces exit doors at more than one factory, each regulator shall have adistinctive marking to identify it as the product of a particular factory.9.3 Markings shall be legible and shall be metal stamped, molded in a casting, a decalcomania transfer,metal nameplate, or printed on a pressure-sensitive label.MARCH 18, 2011SUBJECT 13366
