The maximumservice temperature used to determine the oven time and temperature for oven aging is to be60C (140F).13.2
32、The Standard for Gaskets and Seals, UL 157, provides for the testing of either finished elastomericparts or sheet or slab material. Sheet or slab material is to be tested when the elastomeric parts areO-rings having diameters of less than 1 inch (25.4 mm). The material tested is to be the same as th

Ifthe valve is bi-directional, both ends of the valve are to be subjected to the seat leakage test.14.2.2 Valves intended to be joined by solder sweating with the nonmetallic components installed withinthe valve shall have copper pipe soldered to

37、is to beclosed by a cap or the equivalent. The valve is to be partially opened resulting in pressurization of theentire valve body to rated pressure and examined for leakage. The valve then is to be then pressurizedto twice the rated pressure and again examined for leakage.15 Strength of Body Test15
38、.1 An assembled valve that is partially opened shall withstand for 1 minute without rupture an internalhydrostatic test pressure of five times the rated pressure.15.2 The valve outlet shall be suitably blanked off or plugged and the inlet connected to a hydrostaticpressure source. All air is to be v
